Lens research on the basis of the combined metamaterial

The antenna lens is considered on the basis of the combined metamaterial representing the structure of the open ring resonators and a planar structure on the basis of frame elements. Numerical and experimental studies have been carried out and the efficiency of using metamaterials as an antenna lens has been shown to improve the directional properties of the antenna and to reduce antenna dimensions in the field of realization of negative values of the dielectric or magnetic permeabilities of the metamaterial. Outside the working frequency band of the metamaterial its presence does not affect the characteristics of the antenna.
