Algorithm for automated diagnosis of object technical state with multimode fiber sensor

A simple algorithm of speckle pattern analysis for technical monitoring of material structures using multimode optical fiber sensor is presented. This algorithm is based on direct measuring of correlation coefficient between consistently obtained speckle patterns from sensitive fiber integrated into material structure. It allows conducting continuous monitoring and evaluation of the deformation state of material in the near real-time mode.
