Wideband planar spiral antenna with peripheral feeding

In the paper the new type of a low-directional circular polarization antenna is presented. The antenna design is a planar spiral with a small number of turns of variable width, surrounded by a flat conducting screen. On the basis of numerical simulation, the frequency dependences of the main parameters of antenna for various design modifications are obtained and analyzed. In addition to wideband properties of the matching and the directivity, the antenna is characterized by peripheral feeding, which does not violate the planarity of the design.
