Anti-islanding detection method selection for grid connected DFIG wind farms using ANP method

Installation of renewable energy source based distribution system is an effective way to meet the increased energy demand replacing conventional energy sources. In such systems, islanding is regarded as a major challenging aspect. While studying islanding detection, engineers propose a variety of islanding detection methods (IDM), such as passive, active, hybrid, etc. Among these various IDMs, which method is the efficient one in a grid connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind farm, is analyzed using a multi criteria decision making (MCDA) tool, namely Analytic Network Process (ANP). In this paper ANP provides a list of selection priority considering various performance factors, among different IDMs.
