Hydrocyclones set ACS with variable geometry in the HAR TPP system

The paper deals with hydraulic ash removal (HAR) at TTP. A new design of hydrocyclones with variable geometry was proposed. An automation control system for hydrocyclones with variable geometry was proposed and practically implemented in this paper. The parameters of the proposed system operation were determined. The description for controls and process equipment is given. A general block diagram and mimic diagram of the automated control system for hydrocyclones with variable geometry was constructed in the GENIE SCADA-system. The developed hydrocyclone ACS allows one to carry out pilot studies to assess the performance the proposed hydrocyclone design with variable internal geometry. ACS development of the HAR process at TPP and boilers will provide undrained operation, elimination of periodic or continuous purging discharges into water bodies and optimization of the parameters ash waste transported to ash dumps.
