UTM community volunteering portal (UTMCVP)

Volunteerism is a noble act and a powerful means of bridging gaps and bringing people together. Learning institutions are working hard to support the growth of the volunteer spirit among students. Unfortunately, current practices may not be as efficient in publicizing events and informing potential volunteers. Furthermore, some programs need funding to ensure viability. Our project proposes a more centralized approach of volunteerism through the development of an online system. Eager volunteers can find available programs and can even be invited through notification. Additionally, organizers can publicize programs and potential donors can make donations. A prototype will be developed for application in UTM. It is hoped that this system can help volunteerism flourish.
