Simulation analysis of traffic density cluster toward congestion reduction — Comparison between non-diluted and randomly diluted periodical square lattice

To realize information system for reducing the traffic congestion, it is important to analyze the relationship between traffic congestion and route choice decision of each mobile object. In this paper, we show the characteristics of density clusters including percolation threshold in connection with route choice decision from analysis of simulation results on 100 × 100 non-diluted periodical square lattice and 100 × 100 randomly-diluted periodical square lattice. We will show 1) the relationship between the routing strategy of the mobile object and the overall congestion level of the system, 2) the relationship between the routing strategy of the mobile object and the cluster formulation, and 3) the relationship between the routing strategy of the mobile object and the average travel time and by analyzing the simulation results.
