Hybrid-fed microstrip patch antenna for MPAR application

This paper presents a high-isolation, low cross-polarization dual polarized patch antenna for the Multi-function Phased Array Radar (MPAR). The proposed antenna is fed by a balanced probe feed and a slot-coupled feed. The input isolation between horizontal and vertical ports is more than -52 dB and the cross-polarization level for both horizontal and vertical polarization is less than -32 dB in the entire bandwidth. The simulation results of a designed single element are presented.
