Abstract:

The article presents the results of tacheometric measurements of a station throat, as well as the method of data preparation and analysis. The calculations covered the verification of the geometry and the location of railway turnouts and crossings. The analyses were performed for the selected parameters of the turnout geometry, including their lengths and track gauge in main sections. In addition, the data were analyzed to confirm the location accuracy of individual turnouts in the station throat. In order to complete the geometrical characteristic, calculations were performed as to the location of the station throat components in relation to the geodetic railway network points. This element of the analyses enables to verify the spatial location of the analyzed structure.
