Combined Method of Surface Flow Measurement Using Terrestrial Laser Scanning and Synchronous Photogrammetry

Comparing Terrestrial Laser Scanning and photogrammetry, they have certain advantages and disadvantages, and by selecting a potential overlapping area of use, a new quality might be achieved. In the paper, the authors propose a modification of the surface flow measurement method, concerning the synergy of terrestrial laser scanning and photogrammetry from synchronous and non-metric digital images. The spectrum of the potential application of the considered method is wide, and, among others, surface flow measurements might be used to study fluid velocity, water currents, whirlpools, surface disturbances and the permeates of fluid with different properties.
