Spin-Wave Reciprocity in the Presence of Néel Walls

The reciprocity of spin-wave propagation in 180° Néel walls and surrounding domains is studied. For this, the dispersion relation, phase fronts, and spin-wave intensities are analyzed via micromagnetic simulations. Despite the in-plane curling of the magnetization, the domain wall itself acts as a reciprocal channel, whereas nonreciprocal spin-wave propagation is found within the domains. Because the spin-wave localization depends on the selected frequency, this may allow the control the degree of propagation asymmetry.
