Retrieving relevant information of inhomogeneous magneto-dielectrics surfaces by means of free-space characterization protocols

The non-destructive characterization of inhomogeneous magneto-dielectric materials is investigated. For this purpose, a multistatic bench and a linear imaging methodology are presented and tested for three measurement protocols: monostatic, bistatic and multistatic. In addition to showing the achievable resolution in each case, it gives indications on the advantages and inconvenients of each measurement protocol. A numerical study, supported by experimental results, is performed.
