A torus connected ring: A new interconnection topology

The performance and area of the system on chip (SOC) highly depend upon the architecture of networks on chip (NOC). A chip interconnection network named Torus connected Rings (TCR) is proposed which provides multiple disjoint paths between any source and destination pair. The proposed fault tolerant routing algorithm can tolerate faults dynamically. The topology of TCR is simple and scalable. The detail architecture and topological properties are discussed in detail.
