Design of lower vibration reactor

Vibration suppression is one of the key issues to be solved in the design and application of reactors. At present, the vibration reduction of reactors is mainly concentrated on vibration isolation structures and vibration isolation material. The optimization design of lower vibration reactors has not been reported. In this paper, a novel method inserting negative giant magnetostrictive material (NGMM) into air-gaps of reactor magnetic cores is proposed for this purpose. In order to numerically predict the effectiveness of the proposed method, a 2-D magneto-mechanical strong coupled model including magnetostrictive and Maxwell force is founded. Based on this model, Mixed-Programming of the finite element analysis and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is carried out for lower vibration reactor core structure optimization without changing the inductance of reactors. The results show that the designed reactor not only effectively reduces the vibration up to 27%, but also maintains a constant inductance.
