Simulation of replicas for performance assessment of web services

In addition to the configuration of hardware resources, replicas of these resources have an impact on the performance metrics of WA/WS (Web Applications/Web Services). Replicas play a significant role in improving the Quality of Services of Web Services published. It is beneficial in managing resource sharing and useful to moderate the energy consumed in IT environments. In the last decade, the demand for Business-to-Business (B2B) applications has increased and as a consequence, the number of web services has been increased persistently. The number of replicas to be deployed must be sufficient. However, it should not be more than what is expected since the replication technique clearly requires extra processing time and space. In order to meet the performance objective, hence, it is essential to identify the adequate number of replicas for resources.
