Design of IIR digital filters using allpass networks

In this paper a method for synthesis of digital IIR filters given by parallel connection of two allpass networks is described. A procedure is based on an approximation of the constant group delay of allpass networks. To reduce filter sensitivity in the transition region between passband and stopband one allpass network has a double pole.
