Applications of Visualization Technology for Network Security

As a new research area in recent years, network security visualization provides a fast and effective way to identify network anomalies. This paper first summarizes several popular data visualization technologies, and analyzes the current research progress in the field of network security visualization. Then it introduces our practical work to visualize the abnormal events on CSTnet, and proposes research directions for next step.
