NsRCM correction in fast factorized back projection algorithm for UAV SAR motion compensation

Because of the constraints of lowing flying altitude and small platform size, the motion errors of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) introduce both phase error and nonsystematic range cell migration (NsRCM), which significantly degrade the SAR imaging quality. In this paper, the analytical-spectrum of SAR image is obtained by fast factorized back projection (FFBP) processing. The NsRCM is carefully analyzed and motion errors are compensated for SAR imaging performance improvement. Promising results from UAV-SAR data set are presented to validate the advantages of our proposed method.
