Recording and processing of action potentials from peripheral locust nerves

An implantable micromachined microelectrode (microprobe) for sensing of action potentials in the locust peripheral nervous system is presented. The microprobe has been used to record signals from the locust nervous system to identify the effect of key probe parameters on recording site selectivity.
