Numerical method for analysing the static characteristics of sliding bearing based on Ansys

In this paper, a new method is used to study the static characteristics of sliding bearings. The solving method and the process are expounded. Firstly, the validity of the new method is illustrated in mathematical form. Then the correctness of the method is verified by comparing the results with literature. With the help of Ansys, this paper put forward a new way to use the Reynolds boundary condition, which is more vivid and intuitive. The variation of static characteristics of sliding bearing under specific working parameters is given, which provides a reference for the design and selection of sliding bearing. In this paper, a new method to measure the sensitivity of the grid is proposed. The results show that the Gauss integral method can be used to obtain an accurate solution with relatively less grid. The new method can analyze the static characteristics of sliding bearing accurately and visibly. And compared with traditional method, use Ansys can get the value in Gauss points' position easily, which is another advantage of the new method.
