Vector magnetic hysteresis measurement of non-oriented electrical steel sheets under unidirectional compressive stress applied by piezo actuators

Motors are used globally, and improvement in their efficiency has been strongly required to reduce energy loss. For the design of high-efficiency motors, it is essential to accurately estimate magnetic hysteresis losses arising from magnetic cores of motors, which consist of electric steel sheets. In this paper, we introduce the measurement system and present some of the vector magnetic hysteresis loops of electric steel sheets under compressive stress measured with it.
