Numerical study on a novel Curie temperature controlled hybrid thermo-magnetic structure for magnetic random access memories

In this work, with the intention of finding out the capability of the TcC structure for lower switching current (ISTT), we have run time-domain simulations of current induced switching dynamics for a hybrid free layer and single layer by solving the Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch (LLB) equation modified to include spin-torque terms. We will describe how the TcC hybrid structure can reduce the critical switching current (Ic), as compared with a single layer structure with room temperature (CT), a single layer structure with Joule heating (TA) and a magnetically hard-soft composite structure with Joule heating (EcC).
