Effect of demagnetization frequency on the stress-effect and domain structure of grain-oriented Si-Fe sheets

When an applied stress was changed after demagnetization, the susceptibility on the initial magnetization curve increased anomalously. This phenomenon is known as demagnetization-stress effect. The stress-effect was observed more distinctly as demagnetization frequency f/sub d/ was made lower for grain oriented Si-Fe sheets. It was concluded that the dependence of the stress-effect on f/sub d/ originated in a change of spacing between each 180/spl deg/ walls in demagnetized state, where the spacing between 180/spl deg/ walls became wider when f/sub d/ was made lower.
