ASTRA Share-a workbench for development of collaborative applications

Collaborative applications meet users' demands to perform collaborative work over the network. However, to build a collaborative application one has to consider issues like information sharing, data consistency and more. Fortunately, most of these issues are common across a range of collaborative applications, and by addressing some of them in a toolkit, development effort of these applications can thus be reduced. ASTRA Share is one such toolkit that aims to ease the development of collaborative applications in a small group environment by handling issues like conference management, information sharing and concurrency control through group communications protocols.
