Electrons, holes, and ions in non-polar dielectric liquids

In this talk a summary of the research on the electronic and ionic properties of ultrapure non-polar liquids is given. The results obtained may serve as a guiding line in the discussion of conduction and breakdown processes in liquids which are employed in electrotechnical apparatus. The availability of ultrapure liquids has opened up novel applications in physics and chemistry.
