Effects of temperature in the performance of the thermoelectric devises: Power generation

This paper, present a study of a system consist of a hybrid association of thermoelectric generators, that generates electricity from heat using the Seebeck effect. This work helps demonstrate the potential of these modules as a renewable energy source by simulating their performance in level of electrical power generation and cost. The parameters of this system are simulated to give an idea about optimal energy production. The simscape tool from Matlab/Simulink is used in this work as a tool for physical modeling of thermoelectric generator. Also a comparison was made with a photovoltaic panel, the resuls shows that from significant temperature differences, this system can produce a very important electrical power with a low price compared with a photovoltaic panel with the same surface area of the thermoelectric generators.
