Analysis of the passive thermal behavior of building located in subtropical climate: Comparison with Moroccan building energy efficiency code (RTCM)

This paper presents the thermal behavior of a passive building located in Hassan II University of Casablanca. A numerical code based on electric analogy nodal method was developed and validated against experimental results. This program is used to validate estimated values of envelope thermal resistances for three configurations (Case 1: cell without insulation; Case 2: 4.5 cm of glass wool layer insulation in the ceiling; Case 3: 4.5 cm of glass wool layer insulation on the whole envelope). Also we checked the compliance of the test building according of the Moroccan building energy efficiency code.
