A concept for hierarchical coordination of voltage control applications in LV networks

This paper describes a concept for the coordination of active applications in LV networks to avoid unacceptable voltages and to ensure a stable control operation. The concept has been kept simple, without using an extensive algorithm. This ensures an uncomplicated implementation and operation. The focus of the paper lies on the explanation of the algorithm and the practical implementation. Furthermore, the concept will be validated and compared with uncoordinated control concepts in laboratory tests. Finally, some deficiencies of the concept due to the strict hierarchical structure are discussed.
