Surplus torque research on electric motor loading simulator using active disturbance rejection controller

In order to enhance the control performance and loading precision of motor loading simulator, eliminating surplus torque becomes one of the keys. In this paper, according to mathematical model, the electric loading simulator is established and the causes of surplus torque are analyzed, and then the controller based on Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC) is designed. The experimental results indicate that the surplus torque is suppressed under 0.002 N·m, and the errors are smaller than 0.05 N·m when unit step, unit ramp and torque signal of sin(2πt) N·m· are tracked. These results mean that the performance of ADRC controller is better than those of traditional method.
