Abstract:
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system mounted on drone for landmine detection is presented. Classical methods for landmine detections are not time efficient and dangerous. With proposed solution a drone could autonomously scan desired area without contacting the investigated ground. For this purpose, a sub-nanosecond monocyclic pulse generator and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) antenna that is suitable for air coupled GPR system was developed. The preliminary laboratory experimental results show first success by object detection and are good basic for further development.
