An outline: Segmentation of blood vessels, veins and Artery in MRA

Vascular diseases are the important sources of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Computer-assisted Detection(CAD) and segmentation of blood vessels in MR angiography are essential and crucial for medical computing tools for clinical assessment of vascular diseases. Segmentation is a process of partitioning an angiogram into non-overlapping background and vascular regions. This article gives an overview of the image segmentation methods which are used to automatic separation of Artery and Veins in MRA images. This paper even discuss the fuzzy connectedness methodology of segmentation.
