Research on application of IPM module driver and protection circuit

The peripheral circuit built into a power module IPM arouses many researchers' attention with the development of IGBT. However, existing design methods of IPM protection circuit are either complicated or not practical. A simple and practical design scheme of a new IPM protection circuit is proposed based on this condition. The practice illustrates that the proposed design scheme is safe, reliable and effective.
