Design of two-dimension precision positioning mechanism for lapping arc edge diamond tool

Diamond tool is widely used in the precision engineering field, and the higher requirements for the quality and efficiency of the diamond tool is put forward. Then the demand for the two-dimension precision positioning mechanism lapping arc edge diamond tool is becoming more and more urgent as well. In this paper, the project design of two-dimension precision positioning mechanism for lapping arc edge diamond tool was given, based on the deep analysis of influence of position error on lapping quality and lapping efficiency of the diamond tool. Furthermore, the concrete structure design and finite element analysis of micro-positioning mechanism was done, and the simulation results showed that this design of the micro positioning system can meet design requirements.
