Solar powered intelligent infrastructure for power monitoring and surveillance system

The paper proposes the implementation of smart infrastructure in places of public gatherings like museums, libraries, malls where otherwise there is a lot of power wastage due to inefficient switching of devices when not in use. The environmental parameters of such places, such as light intensity, temperature, humidity etc. are monitored constantly by appropriate sensors and devices are thereby automatically turned on or off. The various hardware components and software platform required to build such a model are mentioned. The methodology is divided primarily into two parts, the first dealing with the automation capability, while the other describes a method for surveillance and security. Lastly the several advantages of having such a setup and future applications are mentioned by way of conclusion and future scope.
