Low-observable maneuvering target detection based on Radon-advanced discrete chirp Fourier transform

In this paper, a novel coherent integration method known as Radon-advanced discrete chirp Fourier transform (RADCFT) is proposed to detect low-observable maneuvering targets. It can eliminate the range migration (RM) effect by searching along motion trajectory, as well as remove Doppler frequency migration (DFM) effect via advanced discrete chirp Fourier transform (ADCFT). When the searching motion trajectory is well matched with the target's motion trajectory, there will generate a peak in the RADCFT, which is helpful for the successive detection. Simulations are provided to prove its effectiveness and the results indicate that RADCFT can achieve a better integration performance and a higher detection probability of a maneuvering target than MTD, RFT, RFRFT and RFRAF.
