16APSK transmission experiments over 12GHz-band satellite with 100W class GaN power amplifier

Test satellite broadcastings for 4K/8K modulated by 16ASPK were launched in August 2016. The 16APSK transmission system requires higher linearity than the current one. We have developed an on-board 100 W class SSPA to stably transmit 16APSK. In this study, we conducted transmission experiments and evaluated the receiving performance for 16APSK over the SSPA at different operating points.
