Multiple-output ZCS resonant inverter for multi-coil induction heating appliances

This paper presents a multiple-output resonant inverter for multi-coil systems featuring high efficiency and flexible output power control for modern induction heating appliances. By adopting a matrix structure, the number of controlled devices can be reduced to the square root of the number of controlled induction heating loads. Therefore, an elevated component count reduction can be achieved compared to classical multi-outputs solutions. The proposed converter is analyzed and verified experimentally, proving the feasibility of this proposal and benefits compared with previous alternatives.
