Proposition of adaptative time-frequency representation of speech signal

The sound signals caterers have long do an analysis and time-frequency representation of sounds, but they still faced the problem of compromise between adaptation to different signal components. Indeed, the audio signals may include components with very different time-frequency characteristics and which each require a different window size. As a result, all these physical properties justify the need for time-frequency representation with adaptive resolution. This time-frequency representation allows to provide a means for analyzing non-stationary physical phenomena such as speech. This type of representation combines the temporal analysis and frequency analysis to arrive at a more detailed analysis of the temporal location of the components. In this work, we are interested in the study and analysis of speech signals that reflects the characteristics of the frequency analysis of the ear and its representation in the time-frequency plane according to the criterion of entropy we propose in this paper the application and comparison of time-frequency analysis techniques proposed and STFT broad and narrow band. Testing speech signals are taken from the TIMIT database.
