Gutsy-Avatar: Computational Assimilation for Advanced Communication and Collaboration

We developed Gutsy-Avatar, which enables computational assimilation between real and virtual users for advanced communication and collaboration. Although our system supports video meeting through the Internet, local users can wear remote users through an electronic device, which allows remote users to share views and experiences with the local user. The remote user can also give physical feedback to the local user by changing the display direction, which enables the remote user to communicate the next action, with both intuitive and verbal reactions, to the local user. Our system provides unique communication and collaboration both for indoor and outdoor activities, which changes the paradigm of e-learning.
