Nonstationary output feedback controller design for discrete-time Markov jump systems with application to a pneumatic throttle actuator

This paper investigates the output-feedback control problem within the nonstationary framework for a class of Markov jump linear systems (MJLSs) in the discrete-time domain. The so-called nonstationary output feedback control means that the proposed mode-dependent controllers, which are also Markov jump systems, are related to two different Markov chains with the piecewise homogeneous structure. The desired output feedback controllers, regardless of dynamic and static forms, are developed such that the system in closed-loop is stochastically stable with a prescribed H_∞ performance index. The solutions are expressed in the light of strict linear matrix inequalities. A pneumatic throttle actuator is employed to illustrate the validness of the developed theoretical results.
