A wireless power transfer system with optimized circuit parameters using genetic algorithm

Wireless power transfer has a major limitation due to its poor efficiency in general. In order to obtain the highest possible efficiency, the design of the circuit must be optimized. This paper presents a wireless power transfer system that allows transferring power between two coils efficiently. A genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize a number of parameters through the design phase of the system. Theoretical analysis followed with optimization procedure and simulation results are presented in this paper.
