Management of road lights system using vehicular ad-hoc networks

An enormous amount of electricity is ingested in illuminating the roads and streets of many countries and states in order to avoid the Accidents and Crimes respectively. Although, Vehicles moving through these portions of roads and streets are low in rate and moves from these roads and streets over a specific time period. These parts of roads and streets are not every time engaged with vehicles. In this paper a methodology is suggested that instinctively turns off the lights for that portion of the roads and streets in which vehicles are not moving and switch on the illuminations once of that portion of roads and streets in which movement of vehicles are going to come. Rationally this method will preserve an enormous amount of electricity as well as the life of the lights. After using such method, the proposed system will instinctively supervise, control and detects the lights of roads and streets as there is viability to notice or sense the existence of vehicles, their positioning, their velocities and their directions.
