Outage analysis of two-way amplify-and-forward relaying system with imperfect channel state information

In this paper, we consider a two-way relaying scenario and analyze the outage performance of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying protocol with imperfect channel state information (CSI) feedback. For both variable-gain and fixed-gain relaying methods, the effective signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) has been derived and closed-form expressions of the outage probability with channel estimation errors have been obtained based on a modified Bessel function. Moreover, power allocation between the nodes and the relay is studied for achieving better system performance. Numerical experiments have been conducted to verify the analytical results and show that our theoretical derivations are perfectly matched with the simulations.
