A survey on geometric invariant watermarking techniques

From the past decade, the developments in the fields of computer networks and multimedia had changed many things into the digital format. Digitalization is very helpful to store and retrieve the images or videos in the web. Along with technological development in the field of multimedia, the security also is a major concern to protect the information from the attackers. Therefore, one of the solutions provided to secure the images or videos is watermarking. In this paper, we made a comprehensive survey on digital watermarking schemes. The study will provide overview of many existing techniques and their drawbacks against different types of attacks. Specifically, geometric based watermarking approaches are discussed, due to the robust nature of the approach. This survey will provide effective understanding about the geometric invariant approaches to continue in the watermarking research field.
