Establishment of network coded cooperative communication for clinical healthcare

The study presents network coded cooperative communication for health monitoring in hospital environments. The work addresses the issues in delivery of clinical healthcare data to all duty nurses' by using minimum resources. A network coded retransmit/rebroadcast control algorithm is proposed and simulated by using network simulator tool. The performance indices, such as Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), throughput and network delay are evaluated. The obtained results showed that the algorithm further improves resource sharing and energy efficiency of existing network coding technique. Also, the algorithm showed better link quality and minimum packet failure rate. The hybrid wireless protocol standards, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are efficiently utilized.
