A simple method for estimating the frequency of the periodic component of a measuring signal

A simple computational method for estimating the frequency of the periodic component of a signal is offered, which is based on the analysis of the numbers of zero-level crossings. It is shown that the proposed method provides acceptable relative estimation errors. Error reduction methods are offered.
