Economic feasibility study of the 20 kV voltage application at industrial enterprises

The article discusses the choice of a rational voltage in distribution networks of industrial enterprises, taking into account the new 20 kV voltage class that has emerged recently. The study has been carried out at two industrial enterprises - a machine-building plant and a textile mill. Total discounted costs are used for the comparative economic assessment of several technical solutions. A technical and economic model of discounted costs for an electric power network based on the linearization method has been developed and studied in order to reduce time and money expenses on the calculations concerning the choice of the optimal voltage and configuration of a power network. The discounted costs linearization method makes it possible to determine the cost of each component of the power network without selecting its specific parameters. Selection of specific network parameters occurs only once for the option that corresponds to the rational voltage and optimal configuration.
