, a method of statistical simulation of train operation is developed (Monte Carlo method). Train flow dimensions are determined due to the fact that daily distribution can be described by a normal distribution law. Exceeding the daily amount of traffic as compared with available carrying capacity of sections allows determining the number of delayed trains on the way to the section.
