Oscillation of Nanomachines Based on Molecular Diffusion With Noises

Nanotechnology has stimulated the development of devices at the scale ranging from a few nanometers to tens of micrometers, known as nanomachines. Nanonetworks, the combination of interconnected nanomachines, are expected to accomplish more complicated tasks in terms of both complexity and range of operation. The proper study and characterization of the impact of the noises are of great importance for the design of nanonetworks. This paper proposes a diffusion-based oscillation model for nanomachines with noises. The noises include anexternal noise source, the enzymes that can react with the molecules and the thermal noise. The objective of this paper is to model and analyze the influences of the external noise source, the enzymes, and the thermal noise to the oscillation. Numerical results evaluate the influence of the external noise source, the present enzymes in the environment, and the thermal noise to the nanomachine's oscillation period.
