Development of the coastal wave power generation device

Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding (MES) was awarded for “Technical Development and Demonstration of Small, Efficient Wave-Power device” by Ministry of the Environment at fiscal year 2013 (October, 2013), and had been developing wave-power device aiming for a full-scale demonstration test at sea within fiscal year 2015. This lead to confirm its effect (the point absorber effect) at actual sea utilizing resonance control: the most effective method to recover wave energy. This report focuses on the resonance control test in wave tank and demonstration test at actual sea on the status of development for the coastal wave power generation device.
